Amazon's power play: Ryan

A day after his new book was published, Rep. Paul Ryan told CNBC on Wednesday the e-book price fight between his publisher Hachette and Amazon is "very frustrating."

He said it's hard to buy his book "The Way Forward" on the e-commerce giant's site.

"I wished this dispute got settled. Clearly Amazon is making a kind of power play here, in my opinion," the House Budget Committee chairman said on "Squawk Box. "

As far as whether Congress should step in, the Wisconsin Republican said he's going to "hold from making comments." But he did point out that readers can go to Barnes & Noble or other places that sell books and buy his "easily at a discount."
