Murphy, who joined MNN as Managing Editor prior to its 2009 launch, was previously a producer at USA Today where she worked on stories including Hurricane Katrina, the 2004 political conventions, and the Iraq War. Prior to USA Today, Murphy was an editor and producer at National Geographic, where she helped launch National Geographic for Kids magazine and the accompanying web site. She started her career at CNN, where she was an Emmy Award-winning producer.
