If you'd like to carry a bag that costs the same as a three-bedroom, two-bath house in middle America, you can snag one at the Heritage Auction later this month.
Expected to sell for about $200,000, the matte Himalayan Nilo crocodile Hermès Birkin bag could also boost your status for buying the most expensive handbag ever sold, the Daily Mail reported on Friday.

The current title is held by a red Hermès Birkin bag that Heritage sold in 2011 for just under £125,000 (about $200,000 at the time), the newspaper said.
The "pristine condition" handbag is described by Heritage as a rarity featuring 18-karat white gold hardware and more than 200 diamonds, for a total of 9.84 carats.
