Kleangas subsidiary SCR Production's taking a Whole New Sense

Tampa, Flordia, Sept. 8, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Second Cycle Recycling (SCR) is excited to announce it is planning to open a second production line in Kokomo, IN. The first line, announced last month, will begin production in 2015. The second line will be smaller for a new product developed at SCR. SCR is the first paper pellet manufacturer to infuse scent into a pellet. This new product will enter the potpourri market. SCR will manufacture pellets with a variety of scents and colors reflecting various holidays and seasons. Of the pellet products in the SCR portfolio, this will by far be the most profitable to the company. Much of the packaging of this product will be done by hand. To do the packaging, SCR will be teaming with a group that employs handicapped and disabled workers in an effort to help them enter into the workforce with the goal of becoming self-sufficient.

The site of the new line will be at the current research location. SCR will lease additional square footage in the building they currently occupy to accommodate the new production line. Don Willis of SCR stated, "We are excited about this new product. Once we perfected the recipe and made our first batch, we tested against potpourri products currently on the market. That first batch is now more than 4 months old and still smells as good as it did the day we made it. Matching the colors and scents to the holidays means we will have a product that will always be rotating on customer shelves. Additionally a big advantage we have is that our product is recycled and organic."

Bo Linton, President of Kleangas Energy Technologies (OTC Pink: KGET) which owns SCR stated, "We could not be more pleased with the acquisition of SCR. They continue to innovate and develop new, unique ways of marketing the pellet. These first few products being rolled out by SCR are amazing enough, but the products they have coming down the road are game changers. At KGET we believe the future of the energy industry is in the pellet. Acquiring a company with the research capabilities of SCR was critical to our long term plans. As the world continues to turn away from coal, the biomass pellet is the key to supplying the energy needs of a growing population. We need to not only look to wood pellets, but develop other biomass sources for pelleting, and the best practices for pelleting that material. SCR gives us that ability."
