MOSCOW, Sept. 9, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- TNS Russia started measuring the audience of CTC Love federal channel within its nationwide TV Index panel starting from September. For the first week of September, CTC Love reached 0.8% of its All 11-34 target audience.

Our new channel demonstrated very strong performance—approximately 0.6% of its target audience—from week one. СТС Love became a Top 20 channel in its target audience from week one, which is an outstanding achievement. Another important factor is that we launched the new channel very quickly, with the first audience measurements available just 9 months after we decided to start this project. I am very happy with the whole project team and their outstanding success. We also were able to develop the distribution network of СТС Love very quickly, with the new channel now available in the maximum access packages of all the leading operators. Our Everest sales house did a great job starting to sell the inventory even before the measurements started, and CTC Love should generate the revenue of approximately $1 million by the end of this year."
CTC Media made the decision to launch СТС Love in late 2013. The new channel started broadcasting to subscribers of cable and satellite networks in April 2014 and became a part of TNS measurement panel in September 2014.
Its technical penetration in Russia reached 38% as of early September. The channel covers more than 45% of households in St. Petersburg and 37% of households in Moscow.

The target audience of CTC Love is All 11-34. The core audience is women aged 18 to 25, who are the key consumers of content about love and relationships.
