CNBC Announces New Travel and Lifestyle Programme


First Class launches in Asia 26 September and to air internationally

SINGAPORE and LONDON, 22 September 2014– CNBC, the leading business and financial news network, announced the start of a new series First Class. The new half-hour programme will cover the best in lifestyle, luxury and travel in Asia. LUXE City Guides, the go-to guides for discerning travellers, have lent their global network of resident editors to CNBC to become the official Knowledge Partner for this series.

Each month, First Class will focus on a single travel destination and learn about its hidden gems, off-the-beaten path experiences, and the must-dos and must-haves. The series will meet the players who are shaking up the local scene and go behind the velvet rope to discover the ultimate indulgences that each place has to offer.

John Casey, Senior Vice President of International News and Programming at CNBC said, "The launch of First Class enhances our weekend offering and enables us to continue being a one-stop viewing platform taking our investor audience from the business week into the weekends."

First Class will be presented by CNBC's Susan Li. The first programme will premiere on Friday, 26 September at 5pm (SIN/HK) and will air monthly across Asia Pacific, and Europe, the Middle East, Africa, where the programme will air on Saturday, 27 September at 9:30am (CET).

The series kicks off with a focus on Singapore. As the country approaches the big 5-0, the notoriously 'fine' city is finally letting its hair down. From fast cars to secret bars, CNBC's Susan Li shows you the Lion City like you have never seen it before.
