Scammers claiming to represent the IRS are threatening people with jail if they don't pay tax bills, and authorities say more than 90,000 people have complained since last fall.
The Columbus Dispatch reported Saturday that Ohio officials have received more than 50 complaints in the last month alone.

The IRS has said that victims have already lost more than $5 million to the scam so far.
"We're hoping more people realize it's not a real IRS official and just hang up the phone," a spokeswoman for the agency told the paper.
