Smart dealmakers need to concentrate on trademark protection and confidentiality agreements before embarking on a transaction."
Jim further discussed the importance of maintaining continuity in supply and distribution agreements, licensee agreements and most importantly agreements with key employees. "As a sales business, food companies need to take a careful look at non-compete and non-disclosure requirements, and plan against raiding of employees by competitors."
