Polaris Office goes back to school

IRVINE, Calif., Oct. 6, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Infraware Inc.'s free mobile office application, Polaris Office, has embarked upon a more active initiative to reach out to students more directly by visiting the students at University of California, Irvine during their annual welcome week.

Students at UC Irvine can find Polaris Office at Anteater Plaza from October 6th until the 8th. Polaris Office's marketing team will be there to help educate students on some of the new and useful features of Polaris Office that would benefit students.

Polaris Office's compatibility with Microsoft Office documents and PDFs, as well as its abilities to create, edit, and share those documents with other people make it a very dynamic resource for students. Furthermore with the new Chromecast support students can give presentations in class without having to look down and reference a laptop or computer and simply use the Polaris interface to guide the screen through their presentation.

Polaris Office has recently added a number of features including a pen annotation feature that allows students and other users to handwrite and annotate their notes. This feature is compatible with Word, Powerpoint, Excel, and PDF documents so students can highlight, underline, and annotate as they see fit.

Additionally Polaris Office now supports reopening documents and files right where you left off as well as tracking changes and modifications. These features were added to help make on-the-go work and collaboration more efficient and streamlined so that students and users would not be constrained to resorting to computers to use these more advanced functions.

Understanding that students today often face an increased financial burden, Polaris Office wanted to offer help in the form of free resources. The Polaris Office team can be seen handing out flyers with promotional codes giving away 3 months of a premium subscription for free. This premium subscription includes additional storage space, password protection of documents, and additional pen annotation features among others.

Now with more than 4 Million registered users worldwide Polaris Office continues to listen to all their feedback and wants to talk with students to figure out their wants and needs right as the new school year begins.
