Ms. Westphal brings a wealth of relevant experience to her new role on the AFSB. During her 12+ years working for the U.S. Air Force, she was known for questioning assumptions, stimulating out-of-the-box thinking, pushing the use of state-of-the-art technology, and connecting the dots. As Managing Director of Toffler Associates, Ms. Westphal leads the firm in applying a future-focused approach to strategy and growth to help corporate and government leaders produce measureable results.
"As today's pace of change continues to accelerate faster than companies and government agencies can respond, the Air Force and Department of Defense are at a crossroads," suggests Ms. Westphal. "Tremendous opportunities await those organizations that can effectively understand, plan, and adapt to a rapidly-changing future; I'm honored to take part in highlighting these opportunities and helping to answer some of the tough questions of the day. The members of AFSB are some of today's top thinkers, and I'm humbled to serve alongside them."
AFSB Director Terry Jaggers notes, "The mission of the NRC depends on the generous contributions and expertise of volunteers. I believe Ms. Westphal will find her service to be both interesting and rewarding."
