With its latest release of Cloud MDM for Salesforce, Informatica provides customers with a new, out-of-the-box capability to move data from child orgs to the master org and vice-versa.
Further, enterprises have the flexibility to maintain a single view of customers in an existing Salesforce org or in a separate org.
Multiple Salesforce orgs are similar to separate CRM (Customer Relationship Management) installations, which contain duplicate customer information. By combining them into a single org, large enterprises can get a single, authoritative view of their customers, rather than having to manually reconcile duplicates across orgs.
Multiple orgs often result from merger and acquisition (M&A) activity, line of business, or geographic considerations. For example, when an enterprise makes an acquisition, it may want to leverage the acquired company's customer base to cross-sell its existing products. Informatica Cloud MDM for Salesforce's new multi-org capability gives an enterprise the ability to automate the process of creating a single view of its customers and take advantage of more cross-selling and up-selling opportunities.
