TUCSON, Ariz., Oct. 21, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- FSXinterlinked's Investment Conference at Dove Mountain, held Oct. 29 – 31 in Marana, Ariz., will serve as the inaugural event for the organization's newly created "Tomorrow's CEOs Today," a program launched to help students and young business leaders interested in starting their own business.
The three-day event will include presentations from top executives of 18 emerging growth companies and will be attended by broker-dealers, RIAs, leading resource companies and industry sponsors. One-on-one meetings between company management teams and qualified investors are scheduled at the conference to support emerging growth firms in their capital raise efforts.
The Pima County Joint Technical Education District has selected 12 students to participate in the inaugural "Tomorrow's CEOs Today" event. The students will have the opportunity to interact with C-level executives and shadow a funding source to gain firsthand exposure of what investors are looking for in a company. FSXinterlinked will donate 40 percent of conference profits as a scholarship for the participating "Tomorrow's CEOs Today" students.
The program for young business leaders was called a "game changer" by Arizona Secretary of State Ken Bennett, who will attend the conference.
"We've structured this event to create jobs in the market by aiding companies in raising the capital they need to launch their product, while simultaneously reaching our goal to give back to the community by providing real life business training for tomorrow's young leaders," said Delray Wannemacher, president and chief executive officer of FSXinterlinked. "We encourage local business to come take part in the conference."
The conference will also feature keynote speaker David Weild, the former vice chairman of NASDAQ. Weild, currently founder, chairman and chief executive officer of IssuWorks, will discuss changes in the regulation of capital formation, including how these new regulations are being used to increase shareholder value and what listeners can expect to come out of Washington D.C.
An inaugural golf tournament benefiting "Tomorrow's CEOs Today" will be held on Oct. 29, prior to the event's kick-off, at The Golf Club at Dove Mountain, a renowned course design by famed golfer Jack Nicklaus. The tournament is open to the public.
In addition to the 40 percent of proceeds donated to "Tomorrow's CEOs Today," FSXinterlinked will donate 10 percent to a local Arizona charity.
