Take a look at some of Wednesday's midday movers:

Actavis - The drug maker rose after posting better-than-expected third-quarter results and raising its guidance.

Chesapeake Energy - The natural-gas producer jumped after beating third-quarter earnings estimates.

Chuy's Holdings - The restaurant chain fell after reducing its full-year guidance.

Cognizant Technology Solutions - The supplier of information-technology services gained after posted better-than expected third-quarter results.

Devon Energy - The onshore-crude operator climbed after posting better-than-expected third-quarter earnings.

EOG Resources - The oil producer advanced after reporting better-than-expected quarterly profit.

Magna International - The Canadian auto-parts maker rose after posting better-than-expected third-quarter results.

NRG Energy - The utility gained along with others in its sector, including NextEra Energy, PPL and FirstEnergy.

Petrobras - The Brazilian producer of crude edged lower after Bloomberg reported it drew the support from Brazil's government to raise gasoline prices.

Pioneer Natural Resources - The oil-and-gas company fell after pricing a public offering of 5.75 million shares.

Rowan Companies - The contract driller climbed after reporting better-than-expected quarterly revenue and profit.

Stratasys - The 3D-printer maker fell after reducing its profit outlook for 2014. Competitors including ExOne, Voxeljet and 3D Systems also dropped.

Tesla Motors - The electric-car maker fell ahead of reporting quarterly results after the close.

Tim Hortons - The Canadian doughnut chain advanced after it posted better-than-expected third-quarter profits.

Wynn Resorts - The casino operator fell after Credit Suisse downgraded Wynn Macau to underperform.
