McDonald's recalls 2.3M Hello Kitty toys

McDonald's recalled about 2.5 million Hello Kitty toys in the U.S. and Canada on Monday because the whistles can pose a choking hazard to young children.

The toys were distributed to the fast-food giant's locations nationwide starting last month, but the company said "approximately 30 percent of the whistles" had actually made it to restaurants.

People should immediately bring the toy to McDonald's where they can either get a toy replacement, tube of yogurt or bag of apple slices.
