Name: Chase Distillery
Founded: 2008
Based: Hereford, U.K.
Employees: 25

Independent and family-owned, the Chase Distillery was founded in 2008 by William Chase, a potato farmer from Herefordshire, England. In 2010 Chase Original Vodka was voted the world's best at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition.

Produced using King Edward and Lady Claire potatoes and bottled by hand, it can take up to two weeks for a bottle of vodka to be made. Chase is not just about vodka – it also produces a range of gins and fruit liqueurs, and in total the company makes 500,000 bottles a year across its range of products.

As well as founder William, three other members of the Chase family – James, Harry and Kate – work for the company, which employs 25 people.
