"Dan is incredibly deserving of this award," said Pacific Arts Movement Executive Director, Lee Ann Kim. "His overwhelming generosity with his time, resources and financial assistance continually benefits our mission to inspire, entertain and support a more compassionate society through moving pictures and moving minds."

Hom is an appreciated, long-time board member of Pacific Arts Movement, serving as Chairman in 2008 and 2009. Through the award, Pacific Arts Movement recognizes Hom for strategically creating connections and developing business, political and cultural opportunities, especially for the Asian community.

"I consider it an honor and a duty to raise the voices of the Asian community and its leaders here in San Diego and state wide," said Hom. "The uniqueness in diversity is so enriching for our culture and so I challenge everyone with a thought: Love your community and give back. If you involve yourself in the community, it will pay off tenfold."
