(Nasdaq:QLGC), a leading supplier of high performance network infrastructure solutions, today announced that on November 13, 2014, the Compensation Committee of the Board of Directors of QLogic Corporation approved grants of equity-based awards to certain individuals in connection with their commencing employment with the company and its subsidiaries and as an inducement material to their accepting such employment.
The grants included an award of 60,000 restricted stock units to Milind Karnik, the company's new senior vice president, global engineering, that are scheduled to vest over a four-year period, subject to Karnik's continued employment with the company. The grants also included an aggregate of 55,000 restricted stock units awarded to certain newly-hired non-executive employees that will vest based on the achievement of certain pre-established performance and service requirements. In each case, the grants were made in accordance with Nasdaq Listing Rule 5635(c)(4).
