No-odor activewear being developed

A new activewear line is promising its products never fades or gets smelly by treating it with crab and shrimp shells, the Daily Mail said.

Strongbody Apparel—founded by Vancouver-based personal trainer Quincy Samycia and his girlfriend, Meghan Conyers—treat fabric for their designs with Chitosante, a treatment derived from crab or shrimp shells.

The treatment bonds with the fabric and kills odor-causing bacteria.

"We ended up loving the Chitosante technology, as its performance is unbeatable and the fabric keeps its original feel and drape," Samycia told the Daily Mail.

The company recently launched a Kickstarter and exceeded its $15,000 goal well before its Dec. 4 deadline.
