Tetley tea has insured its master blender's taste buds for a massive £1 million ($1.5 million), according to the U.K.'s Mirror newspaper.

Insuring master blender's Sebastian Michaelis' tongue against potential damage works out at £100 per taste bud, the U.K. tabloid said, and is designed to protect against a sudden palette malfunction.

Tetley is one of the U.K's most loved tea brands owned by Indian multinational Tata Tea. The company obviously thinks Michaelis is worth the money -- he can pickout any one of 1,500 varieties of tea and grade it within 15 seconds, the Mirror said.

It noted that the policy has cost more than the insurance on Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards' guitar-playing middle finger and that of insuring Dolly Parton's breasts.
