SAN FRANCISCO, Dec. 12, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- San Francisco-based start-up Doorman has delivered more than 10,000 packages this year, purchased from some 1,200 unique retailers. This holiday season, however, they hope to deliver many more, at no cost: toys donated in its first-ever Doorman Toy Drive.
Online shoppers across the US are encouraged to add a toy purchase to their shopping list this year for less fortunate children. At online check-out, just send the toys to the Doorman Donations shipping address, and they will be donated to local children's charities: Doorman Donations, 2261 Markets St #TOYS, San Francisco, CA 94114.
From there, Doorman will deliver them to (Toys for Tots) to make countless children happier and their holidays brighter.
"The holidays are our busiest time of the year," said Co-Founder and CEO Zander Adell. "But we have a whole system built to intake and deliver packages, so let's use that to do some good this year."
"We're all about delivering smiles on a daily basis to our customers," added Kapil Israni, Co-Founder and CTO. "But I'm particularly excited about this delivery."
Doorman has reimagined package delivery for e-commerce with an on-demand mobile service that delivers consumers' online shopping packages between 6pm and midnight, seven days a week. Online shoppers simply provide their Doorman address to the site from which they're purchasing.
