ORLANDO, Fla., Dec. 24, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The Reed Nissan Pet Rescue Project Adopt-a-thon challenge is nearing the finish line and the Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando is turning to the community for help to reach the goal of adopting 2,000 pets into new homes. To help reach the goal, the Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando announced today that all dogs and all cats are FREE to adopt at both Pet Alliance animal shelter locations after Christmas on December 26th, 27th and 28th. Plus, every pet adopted from the Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando during the After Christmas Sale also goes home with a gift bag that includes treats and a very special plush toy. The fee-waived adoptions give everyone who loves pets the opportunity to take part in helping homeless animals by adopting a new pet.

Hundreds of cats and dogs are still looking for their FURever homes and now they are free to adopt after Christmas at Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando animal shelters.
