BioMarin Announces Public Offering of Common Stock

SAN RAFAEL, Calif., Jan. 21, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- BioMarin Pharmaceutical Inc. (Nasdaq:BMRN) announced today an offering, subject to market and other conditions, of 7,250,000 shares of its common stock in an underwritten public offering. BioMarin has also granted the underwriters a 30-day option to purchase an additional 1,087,500 shares of common stock. BioMarin intends to use the net proceeds from the offering for general corporate purposes and to fund the acquisition of Prosensa Holding N.V.

BofA Merrill Lynch, J.P. Morgan and Morgan Stanley are acting as joint book-running managers for the offering. Barclays and Deutsche Bank Securities Inc. are acting as co-managers for the offering.
