Show will broadcast live from Emirates Palace on March 2
London & Abu Dhabi, Saturday, Feb 28 2015 - CNBC's flagship morning programme, Squawk Box, will for the first time broadcast live from Abu Dhabi on Monday, March 2. The show will air from a purpose built set at the NBAD Global Financial Markets Forum taking place at the Emirates Palace.
Squawk on the Road will be anchored by CNBC's Geoff Cutmore and Hadley Gamble. Cutmore is a seasoned anchor of the show; Gamble is CNBC's Middle East correspondent. In addition to co-hosting the live broadcast, the pair will conduct a number of in-depth interviews with influential Forum participants while on site. Cutmore will also host a panel discussion about the impact of declining oil prices on Sovereign Wealth Funds across the Middle East and North Africa, with panellists including representatives of the Abu Dhabi Investment Council, Kuwait Investment Office and the Nigeria Sovereign Investment Authority.
CNBC last took Squawk on the Road in January to the World Economic Forum in Davos, where the internationally-influential gathered to predict trends for 2015. The NBAD Global Financial Markets Forum in Abu Dhabi is the next port of call for the flagship show, as it follows the global investment story to regional business hotspots.
