OVERLAND PARK, Kan., March 9, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Black & Veatch today announced that Ralph Eberts has been named Executive Managing Director for Integrated Solutions in the company's management consulting business. He is based in San Francisco. Eberts and his team will drive Black & Veatch solutions that require expertise across energy, water and telecommunications services.

Eberts was most recently the Executive Managing Director for Black & Veatch's Americas water business. The Integrated Solutions practice group harnesses the company's global expertise to provide comprehensive, cross-disciplinary solutions for Black & Veatch clients.

"Over the past several years we have seen greater awareness of the integrated nature of critical infrastructure assets. Water is key to energy production. Energy is reliant on water. By working across our business platforms, we can meet their needs."

Eberts's water expertise strengthens Black & Veatch's management consulting capabilities. He was instrumental in the successful execution of Australia's Bundamba Advanced Water Treatment Plant. The plant is an integral part of the $2.2 billion Western Corridor Recycled Water Project in SE Queensland, Australia. His program management experience also includes a leadership role on the full secondary expansion program of the City of Los Angeles Hyperion Treatment plant, a 15-year, $1.1 billion wastewater treatment and reclamation project.

Eberts began his career with Black & Veatch in its international projects business. He designed power facilities and transmission lines and was based in Saudi Arabia for parts of the assignment.

"With a broad range of experience meeting our global clients' most challenging needs, Ralph is ideally suited to lead our Integrated Solutions group," said John Chevrette, President of Black & Veatch's management consulting business. "His experience across markets and sectors gives him a depth and breadth of insight that will be invaluable to our clients."
