SAN FRANCISCO, March 9, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- After an extensive review of agencies, Redhook Brewery selected Duncan/Channon as its advertising agency of record. The Duncan/Channon team was selected to lead strategy, creative and media efforts. This marks Duncan/Channon's second brand from leading brewer, Craft Brew Alliance, building out the agency's position in the booming craft beer market.
"Throughout the search process, Duncan/Channon demonstrated deep strategic thinking and creativity, along with a profound understanding of Redhook's brand, values and vision – we're pumped to have them on board as our creative partners and can't wait to evolve the brand together," said Karmen Olson, Redhook Brewery's brand manager. "Redhook drinkers are growing up, so it's time for Redhook to grow up, too."
The partnership is aimed to accelerate the brand's growth in the craft beer marketplace and solidify its place as one of the fastest growing crafts in the U.S. Duncan/Channon will provide creative and strategic leadership that should surprise the beer marketplace and elevate the brand, particularly its presence in the Seattle market. Following exploration guided by the agency's brand strategy department, Duncan/Channon will help develop Redhook's strategic platform and create and execute integrated marketing campaigns that include both traditional and non-traditional media. The first campaign is expected to launch in Redhook's home market of Seattle this summer.
"It's great to build out our craft beer roster with a brand that was making craft beers before it was even a thing," said Parker Channon, partner and executive creative director. "We had an instant connection with this team and look forward to helping Redhook reach its next level of extraordinary growth, and then the next."
Redhook was born out of the energy and spirit of the early 80s in the heart of Seattle. While the term didn't exist at the time, Redhook became one of America's first "craft" breweries. From a modest start in a former transmission shop in the Seattle neighborhood of Ballard, to the current breweries in Woodinville, WA, and Portsmouth, NH, Redhook has become one of America's most recognized craft breweries. While Redhook has "grown up" over the past thirty years, one thing has never changed—Redhook is still brewing great beers like ESB, Long Hammer IPA and Audible Ale. Most importantly, Redhook has fun doing it. Redhook beers are available on draught and in bottles around the country. For more information, visit www.redhook.com.
