John Hargrove Named CEO of Association of Energy Services Professionals

PHOENIX, March 17, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The Association of Energy Services Professionals (www.aesp.org) has named John Hargrove as the association's president and chief executive officer. The appointment is effective as of today.

Most recently, John was the director of renewable programs at NV Energy for 10 years and prior to that he managed numerous energy efficiency programs at NV Energy. John was elected to AESP's board three times; volunteered on numerous board committees; and served as AESP's chair of the board from 2012 – 2013.

"I believe that energy efficiency is on the cusp of dramatic changes in terms of consumer acceptance and adoption regionally, nationally and internationally," Hargrove said. "This is a very exciting time and as an association we must embrace change and be proactive in our role as a catalyst for energy efficiency, demand response and evaluation."
