Big tech trades: 5 stocks to buy

Yahoo's decision to repurchase $2 billion in shares may provide the boon needed to make its stock a buy, CNBC "Fast Money" trader Guy Adami said.

"I've been waiting for a reason to buy Yahoo. This announcement might be the reason," he said.

Yahoo jumped nearly 2 percent in extended trading Thursday after the news. Adami likes the stock there, at around $45 per share, he said.

Adami and the rest of the "Fast Money" traders looked at how to play other technology names that made headlines on Thursday.
