NEW YORK, March 27, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The law firm of JS Barkats, a leader in corporate securities, capital formation and start-ups as well as a pioneer and leading firm in Crowdfunding and Regulation A offerings under the 1933 Act, welcomes with excitement and anticipation the implementation of Title IV of the JOBS Act. JS Barkats announces that the "Democratization of Capitalism" is finally in place as a result of the SEC's approval on March 25, 2015 of the regulations mandated under Title IV of the JOBS Act, commonly known as Reg A+. "These new rules provide an effective, workable path to raising capital that also provides strong investor protections," said SEC Chair Mary Jo White.

Regulation A+ will enable smaller companies to offer and sell up to $50 million of securities in a 12-month period, subject to eligibility, disclosure and reporting requirements. Regulation A+ will become effective 60 days after the new rules are published in the Federal Register.
Mr. Barkats, who was named in 2014 top 5% Best Corporate Securities and Finance Attorneys in New York by Thomson Reuters' subsidiary Super Lawyers®, stated that, "The adoption of Reg A+ by the SEC is a game changer. We believe Reg. A+ has the potential to open the floodgates to capital for U.S. entrepreneurs, especially small and emerging businesses, in amounts never imagined before."
Could you imagine:
(1) General solicitation through any medium (Internet, social media, television, newspapers)
(2) Crowdfunding to raise up to $50 million from anyone;
(3) Without state review by anyone (accredited or not);
(4) No audited financial statements; and
(5) Remaining privately held.
As a result of the adoption of Regulation A+, issuers no longer have to imagine the impossible. Under the new rules, everyone can participate in America's growth.
