EHNAC, HATA and WEDI Partner on Development of Virtual Roundtable for Practice Management System and Electronic Health Record Vendors

FARMINGTON, Conn., March 30, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The Electronic Healthcare Network Accreditation Commission (EHNAC), a non-profit standards development organization and accrediting body in collaboration with Healthcare Administrative Technology Association (HATA) and The Workgroup for Electronic Data Interchange (WEDI) announced a free webinar and virtual roundtable: "Creating a New Baseline Standard for Practice Management System Vendors – Tips from the Field on Achieving Competitive Advantage and Stakeholder Trust."





WHAT: The Practice Management System Accreditation Program (PMSAP) was finalized in February 2015 and now serves as a universal benchmark for medical practices and other healthcare providers in the process of evaluating these systems to ensure they adhere to a high standard of quality and performance when managing protected health information. In a webinar setting, EHNAC Executive Director Lee Barrett will serve as host during a panel discussion to help Practice Management System (PMS) vendors demonstrate adherence to a higher standard of quality, privacy and security, while leveraging the various administrative simplification opportunities included in HIPAA, HITECH, Omnibus Rule and the ACA.
