Overstock.com Gives You 'More Cowbell'

SALT LAKE CITY, April 9, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Overstock.com, Inc. (Nasdaq:OSTK) has seen an increase in sales of cowbells on the online shopping site. Coincidentally, this jump coincides with the 15-year anniversary of the "Saturday Night Live" television sketch known as "More Cowbell", which has become iconic in popular culture since its debut on April 8, 2000.

"Overstock is all for getting our customers up on their feet and dancing," states Overstock.com Senior Vice President of Merchandising and Strategic Sourcing Seth Marks. "If that means 'more cowbell,' we've got a great selection of bells that anyone, even gold-record producers, can enjoy ringing."

Overstock.com offers several handmade bells in its socially responsible Worldstock Fair Trade department featuring a variety of artisan products from developing nations. Other exclusive products include jewelry, clothing, ceramics and furniture.

Started in 2001, Worldstock provides over 9000 global artisans in 52 emerging regions a platform to sell their handcrafted goods on the website.

All Worldstock orders come with Carbon Neutral Shipping at no additional cost to customers. This process balances the carbon emissions of shipping to promote clean energy and reforestation. All orders over $50 ship free.
