Sprint will move forward with its opening of co-branded RadioShack stores on Friday, the company said Thursday.
The company said it will open 1,435 across the U.S, "more than" doubling Sprint's footprint within the retail space, and creating nearly 3,500 jobs.
"In the coming months, Sprint will actively recruit a skilled workforce to fill quality full- and part-time positions, helping to make local communities stronger," Sprint said in a press release.
The news comes two months after tech retailer RadioShack filed for bankruptcy, reporting assets of $1.2 billion and debts of $1.39 billion as of Nov.1.
