CHICAGO, April 14, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Several physicians and practices have selected Allscripts (Nasdaq:MDRX) for IT solutions and analytics services that help them succeed with value-based care and reimbursement models, including the full formation of accountable care organizations (ACO) leveraging the company's Value-based Care Services from the Professional Physicians Business.
Jeffery Campbell, MD, in Louisville, Ky., selected Allscripts to provide a full value-based care service offering, including the establishment of a new ACO. Additional services will include marketing the client's services, recruiting additional providers into the ACO, using analytics to potentially identify and recruit providers' Medicare patient population to enable more fee-for-service revenue, and providing a marketing arm to drive additional revenue into the client's ancillary businesses.
South East Rural Physician Alliance (SERPA) in Crete, Neb., selected Allscripts to provide analytics that are expected to lead to improved patient care and reduced costs. Together, these solutions will provide both financial and clinical analytics and real-time, point of care clinical data. Choice Medical Group, a dedicated Independent Physicians Association (IPA) in Apple Valley, Calif., selected Allscripts to provide analytics to stratify risk in its patient population. Allscripts will supplement the client's existing patient outreach and coordination through engagement programs, integrating into the client's existing care model.
Chico Immediate Care, in Chico, Calif., selected Allscripts to form a new ACO with a stable Medicare population. The client intends to use Allscripts to serve as a partner in facilitating its transition from fee-for-service to a value-based care delivery model of healthcare.
