Traffic is a serious problem in Silicon Valley, but for residents who value their time, and who boast deep pockets, there's a solution.
JetSuite is a private jet company that's been in business for six years. The company's CEO says he's now seeing a new trend: More of his customers want to avoid the congested roads, and instead fly to popular getaways.
"In terms of dollars and cents, you're looking at about $4,000 dollars up and down the West Coast, and probably $3,000 for a short hop within the Bay Area," CEO Alex Wilcox told CNBC.
JetSuite says some of the most popular routes right now include Silicon Valley to Santa Monica, and San Jose to Napa. That flight takes about 25 minutes versus three or four hours in a car if commuters get stuck in bad traffic.
