TROY, Mich., Apr. 21, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- New World Systems® continues to demonstrate stability and independence in the public safety software industry as three more of its competitors have been acquired recently.
While many of its competitors have merged or been acquired, New World’s Aegis™ Public Safety Software platform is still the market leader with 911 dispatch, law enforcement, fire, and EMS agencies.
“There has been a tremendous amount of private equity activity with many mergers and acquisitions taking place recently,” New World’s President and CEO Larry Leinweber said. “New World continues to be employee-owned, which allows us to focus on the communities that rely on our Aegis software every day.”
In addition, Leinweber indicated that the public safety software landscape will continue to evolve as new technology trends require agencies to provide solutions to more complex problems.
Many of the changes in the industry center around improved communications and data sharing, which has given rise to Next Generation 9-1-1 and intelligence-led policing. Other factors, such as agency and jurisdiction consolidation will continue to drive public safety purchasing decisions in 2015.
