"One of the top reasons animals are relinquished to our shelters is because of the pet owner's inability to afford veterinary care," says "Ask a Vet: Your Well Pet" creator Sean Hawkins, Vice President of Marketing for Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando. We wanted to establish an information series so pet owners were educated about some of the most common pet health topics. Partnering with Local 6 provides our veterinary medical team the forum to share information to help prevent illness and disease, keeping pets healthy and in their homes."
"We hope the partnership with Pet Alliance is the beginning of a long relationship that benefits pets and the community," says Skip Valet, WKMG Local 6 General Manager. "Local 6 has a long-standing commitment to the health of the community as evidenced by our hugely successful Living Well Expo hosted twice yearly at Altamonte Mall and Seminole Towne Center. We know that pets are an important part of family lives and we could not think of a better partnership to promote healthy pets than with the local pet experts at Pet Alliance."
