New Webinar From MIR3 Explores Best Practices in Using a Notification System

SAN DIEGO, Apr. 28, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- MIR3®, Inc., the innovator of real-time Intelligent Notification (IN™) and response technology, today announced a webinar that expounds on recognized best practices to overcome communication challenges during times of crisis. The webinar, Best Practices in Using a Notification System, will feature nationally known BC/DR expert Ann Pickren, MCBI and COO for MIR3.

The webinar takes place on Wednesday, May 6, at 11:00am PT (2:00pm ET). Registration is required, though there is no charge to join.

“In today’s world of rapid communication via Twitter and other social media outlets, it’s important you get your message out as fast as, or faster than, anyone else,” said Pickren. “In this webinar, we’ll share the techniques we’ve learned from our many clients to accomplish that goal.”

Emergency mass notification systems have been around for well over a decade, and today’s systems are more sophisticated than ever. However, many users develop only a superficial knowledge of their system when there is much to be gained from exploring its greater capabilities.

The webinar will show attendees how to use the notification system they already have in more effective and efficient ways. Starting with fundamentals, like understanding the core elements of a successful notification, the webinar will offer ideas for crafting clear and complete messages, using message templates, choosing the right number of initiators, encouraging participation and response from recipients, and training for both initiators and recipients.
