Small investor scooping up Twitter aggressively

Twitter's stock could stabilize in coming days because it hasn't lost one of its biggest supporters: the retail trader.

There's a belief that institutional investors really dictate the direction in most stocks, but that may not be the case with the social media company's shares, which have been among the most actively traded securities by the small investor since its 2013 IPO.

The little guy stepped in aggressively on Wednesday, when at their intraday low, Twitter shares had lost more than a quarter of their value after disappointing earnings results.
