"We know that you know that guac is extra, but have you ever thought about what makes it so delicious?" the company wrote. "Well, it starts with sourcing the best whole ingredients possible, and ends with a quick mash in our restaurant."
The average restaurant uses 48 avocados per batch of guac, which it makes multiple times per day.
Chipotle has said it anticipates the avocado market to be pressured in the second and third quarters due to seasonal shifts. Favorable pricing helped fuel a decline in food costs during the recently ended first quarter.
