Apigee a Leader in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Application Services Governance

SAN JOSE, Calif., May 5, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Apigee® (Nasdaq:APIC), developer of an intelligent API platform for digital business, announced today that it has been positioned by Gartner, Inc. in the Leaders quadrant of the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Application Services Governance1. Apigee was positioned the furthest of all vendors in this report for "Completeness of Vision," a criteria that reflects vendors' abilities to understand market trends, lead and influence them, and to follow these trends with agility and consistency.

The Gartner Magic Quadrant is considered one of the industry's most thorough evaluations of solutions for the planning, design, implementation, publication, operation, consumption, maintenance and retirement of APIs and services. This Magic Quadrant evaluated 15 different software vendors on 14 criteria. Apigee was placed in the Leaders quadrant based on both its "ability to execute" and its "completeness of vision."
