SAN FRANCISCO, May 14, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Nexant, a leading provider of software and services for utilities, announced today that utility industry veteran Michael Alexander joined the company as Vice President of Utility Services.
Leveraging his comprehensive research and analysis experience, Mr. Alexander will manage the Customer Strategy, Planning and Analysis (CSPA) group within Nexant's Utility Services practice, working closely with Senior Vice Presidents Dr. Stephen George and Dr. Michael Sullivan, who co-lead the group. In his new role, Mr. Alexander will help grow CSPA to better serve utility clients striving to meet the challenges of grid modernization and increased integration of distributed resources.
Mr. Alexander brings extensive utility management expertise to the Nexant team with more than 30 years of senior management experience at Pacific Gas & Electric Company (PG &E). His expertise includes generation interconnection services, customer energy research and analysis, demand response, energy efficiency, pricing and employee engagement programs. Immediately prior to joining Nexant, Mr. Alexander was Senior Manager of Evaluation, Measurement and Verification (EM &V) at PG &E, where he managed a staff of 21 project managers and analysts responsible for evaluating all aspects of PG &E's $800M demand response and energy efficiency portfolios. Alexander has held more than a dozen leadership positions at PG &E as well as industry groups in the energy and utilities sector since the late 1980s.
