After-hours buzz: HP, Aeropostale, Marvell Technology & more

Hewlett-Packard - The tech firm's shares rose nearly 2 percent after it reported earnings of 87 cents a share, beating estimates by 2 cents, while revenue came in below expectations.

Marvell Technology - The chipmaker reported first-quarter earnings of 13 cents a share on $724 million in revenue, compared to estimates of 10 cents a share on $734 million in revenue. Marvell also issued guidance that was well below Wall Street estimates.

Acxiom - The marketing services provider tumbled as much as 11 percent after-hours when it reported fiscal-fourth-quarter revenue of $257 million, down 4 percent from a year ago. It cited declines in IT infrastructure management. The company earned 24 cents a share, down from 26 cents a share a year ago.

Brocade Communications - Shares tumbled nearly 3 percent after the company beat earnings projections, but missed on the revenue side. The network solutions provider also upped its dividend by 29 percent and issued light third-quarter guidance.

Aeropostale - The apparel retailer's shares plunged about 19 percent after it missed on the top and bottom lines and issued disappointing outlook. The clothier's market cap has sunk below $170 million in recent years.
