Shanghai stocks have been on a roller coaster ride.

After a seven-day winning streak, the plunged 6.54 percent last Thursday but has bounced back since, rising nearly 3 percent Monday – and shrugging off the declines across the region.

China stocks are up nearly 50 percent since the beginning of 2015.
