Apple says to clear most of watch backlog within two weeks

Apple Watch will sell in stores in 2 weeks

Apple on Thursday announced that most orders of Apple Watches placed through May will ship to customers within two weeks. At that time, the company also begin selling some models in its Apple stores.

The only exception to the order fulfillment is the Apple Watch 42 mm Space Black Stainless Steel with Space Black Link Bracelet.

The company also said it would launch its watch in seven more countries, including Italy, Mexico, Spain and South Korea, from June 26, as demand surpasses expectations "in every way."

The company has not given any sales figures for the Apple Watch since it began taking orders in April, but has often said demand was outstripping supply.

The watch will also be launched in Singapore, Switzerland and Taiwan. It is currently available in the United States, Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan and the UK.
