With Android Pay, consumers using Smartphones embedded with Near Field Communications (NFC) will have the opportunity to do more than pay for their purchases. In restaurants that have the same NFC technology in their POS, they will be able to store and redeem promotions, maintain loyalty credentials, keep track of gift cards, and much more. It's the integration with Promotions Manager that makes it possible for guests to save and use their promotions, while merchants will be able to process redemptions in real time, preventing fraudulent usage and simultaneously delivering a much better guest experience.
