InterDigital to Present Paths to 5G at LTE World Summit

WILMINGTON, Del., June 23, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- InterDigital, Inc. (Nasdaq:IDCC), a mobile technology research and development company, today announced that Alain Mourad, Senior Manager, InterDigital Europe, will present at the 11th Annual LTE World Summit on June 25, 2015 at 12:25 PM CET in Amsterdam.

In his talk – “Setting the Path to 5G” – Mr. Mourad plans to discuss paths to 5G from a cellular perspective along with InterDigital’s vision for 5G and its work in multiple 5G research projects. Currently, Mr. Mourad leads the research and development of 5G wireless systems at London-based InterDigital Europe, which, as previously announced, has recently garnered multiple project wins that have underscored its continued leadership in global mobile standards development.

In addition, at LTE World Summit, InterDigital will feature a live over-the-air demonstration of its EdgeHaul™ millimeter wave mesh backhaul platform for Gbps transport. The EdgeHaul solution is built on a low-cost platform that uses high volume radio and baseband components that operate in the 60GHz unlicensed spectrum and embraces 5G-ready software approaches by using the latest SDN standardized protocols for network management and operation.
