The "Halftime Report" traders focused on how to trade Nike as the second half of the trading day began. The athletic footwear maker is scheduled to deliver quarterly numbers after Thursday's closing bell.

Trader Josh Brown said it's tough to determine if all the good news has been factored into Nike's stock price.

Calling the brand "iconic," Steve Weiss said he would hold onto shares for now.

Jim Lebenthal said Nike rival Footlocker is the way to go.
