NEW YORK, July 07, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Dow Jones and Storyful today announced an expanded partnership, building on its existing social video content to provide enhanced social intelligence to Factiva customers. The social media feed previously available via the Factiva Blogs and Boards feature will be replaced by a more refined, high quality Twitter feed, curated and monitored by Storyful’s expert newsroom and powered by proprietary technology.
Factiva customers already benefit from access to immediate, verified social video content on important global events through the integration of Storyful’s user-generated videos into Factiva Homepages. The expansion of the partnership will bring an enhanced Twitter feed to the Factiva platform, cutting through the noise of the social web to identify the voices that matter most and identify, in real-time, the content they are sharing.
“Factiva is focused on surfacing quality content from industry experts and influencers across all media platforms,” said Brian Gelinas, General Manager of Factiva. “Through our partnership with Storyful, we are offering Factiva customers access to social intelligence that has been professionally curated by industry experts, removing the peripheral white noise that can often distract from quality information.”
Storyful’s team of editors ensure that the selected and tagged tweets come from verified and relevant sources, and will initially focus on the top industries and companies that matter most to clients, including financial services, energy, aviation, technology and media. This filtered approach offers Factiva customers a finely-tuned, high quality stream of commentary from the world’s most important social influencers including journalists, top executives, industry leaders and recognized thought leaders.
“Storyful combines proprietary technology and best-in-class journalists to derive the very best from social,” said Storyful CEO Rahul Chopra. “With so many voices on the social web, it can be difficult to know, or find, who to listen to. This is the first phase of an enhanced package of social intelligence that we’ll offer on the Factiva platform, and users can expect to see more in the coming months.”
