SPOKANE, Wash., July 08, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- RLHC (Red Lion Hotels Corporation) (NYSE:RLH) today announced the company will offer complimentary wireless internet access to all visitors to its hotel lobbies, with a premium offer to members of its guest recognition program, Hello Rewards.
“We recognize that hotel guests demand great connectivity, which is why we are taking our Wi-Fi program to the next level and expanding our wireless service,” said RLHC President & CEO Greg Mount. “As we set out to redesign our guest rooms and our lobbies, we took the opportunity to recreate our Wi-Fi program to encourage activity in our lobbies while also recognizing our Hello Rewards members. The result is a level of connectivity which we believe balances everyone’s needs.”
RLHC performed an extensive review of guest demand for bandwidth and is deploying a plan to offer improved lobby and guest room technology with tiered access to wireless internet. In public spaces, anyone will have complimentary limited access to wireless sufficient for connecting to a smartphone, tablet or notebook for checking email and web browsing. In guest rooms, our customers who are members of the RLHC guest recognition program, Hello Rewards, will receive complimentary premium Wi-Fi access. This same level of access will be available for purchase to guests who choose not to join Hello Rewards but require premium expanded access. Hello Rewards is offered to all guests complimentary.
RLHC is in the process of deploying its updated wireless program with several hotels expected to be on board by the end of July. All Red Lion Hotels and Red Lion Inn & Suites will offer the new program by the end of the year.
