Ingalls Shipbuilding Maintains American Heart Association's Platinum Fit-Friendly Worksite Status

PASCAGOULA, Miss., July 10, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Huntington Ingalls Industries' (NYSE:HII) Ingalls Shipbuilding division has been recognized by the American Heart Association for going above and beyond when it comes to employees' health. Ingalls maintained the association's Fit-Friendly Worksite status for the third consecutive year and the Platinum Fit-Friendly status for the second consecutive year.

Ingalls is one of 21 Fit-Friendly Worksites in Mississippi and one of only three Platinum Fit-Friendly Worksites on the Mississippi Gulf Coast.

Ingalls also received the American Heart Association's Community Innovation recognition for creating coloring books focused on healthy lifestyles. The books were distributed to children in the Jackson County area along with opening the HII Family Health Center in Gautier. Ingalls is one of only 48 companies nationwide to receive the Community Innovation recognition.
