Some Apple users experienced service issues with a broad range of functions for more than three hours on Tuesday.
The 12 affected services included the App Store, Apple Music and Apple TV among others. Problems started around 10 a.m. ET and were resolved after 1 p.m. ET, the company said.
The iBooks Store, iTunes, the Mac App Store, Apple Radio and the volume purchases program also experienced issues. The tech giant did not elaborate on what caused the problems.
Apple did not immediately respond to CNBC's request to comment.
The company's shares were trading lower on Tuesday morning ahead of its quarterly earnings report after the bell.
